TV Program Ranking: A Big Week For Fox News
Welcome to our weekly snapshot of TV by the numbers, highlighting the most-watched shows and networks for June 10-16, with insights from Inscape, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching).
Sports may own the top three positions in the chart, but Fox News was another winner for the week, with five programs jumping into the ranking. The viewership share increases were likely prompted by people tuning in for coverage around Hunter Biden’s trial over gun changes and subsequent guilty verdict. Fox & Friends and America Reports with John Roberts & Sandra Smith were tied as the network’s top program with a 0.57% viewership share.
A few more insights around the week’s most-watched programming:
The U.S. Open golf championship putts into first place with 3.62% of minutes watched, beating out the NBA Finals (1.77%) and MLB games (1.02%).
Elsewhere in sports, the Stanley Cup Final takes fifth place with a 0.93% viewership share, while the men’s college world series jumps into seventh (0.82%).
House Hunters was a week-over-week ranking newcomer, just squeaking into the chart at No. 25 thanks to new episodes and rerun marathons.
Although it doesn’t make the ranking, matches during the first group stage of the UEFA EURO 2024 soccer, which kicked off June 14, scored a 0.42% share, putting it at No. 27.
